MusicWorks as the master franchise holder is the exclusive importer and distributor for Yamaha. This means that you are not paying any middle man pricing for our products - the education pricing is direct from the importer.

MusicWorks offers the following exclusive programs and resources to schools - Financing via Equico/ Education pricing / income via our musical instrument rental program.

Equico - The premier funding and leasing company for New Zealand Schools and a partner with MusicWorks in providing your school with an easy and affordable way to access musical instruments for your school. Equico has the master lease agreement with over 2000 NZ schools. They chose MusicWorks as their exclusive instrument provider because of the range and quality of instruments we offer. Equico means that you have the means to increase your school music department and your schools profile in the community. Talk to your Eqico rep and see how they can assist you in improving your music department.

Special Education Pricing - Not Retail, but a price that is unique to schools. By using your account number and a password supplied by MusicWorks you can have real-time access to our secure education web site. Here you can buy online or via one of the local stores any of the enormous range of musical instruments we import and distribute. To obtain a password please email from a school email account to education@musicworks.co.nz and we will send back to that email address your school login and password. This site gives you direct pricing on the some of the world's largest brands - Yamaha - Ibanez - Tama - Steinberg - Ashton.

As prices change during the year and because currencies change, if you have received a quote from a non MusicWorks dealer and wish to get a second opinion then please email or phone us to get a comparative quote - you might find that the prices quoted are not from current imports and might cost more.

Rental instruments - Renting is the affordable way for any student to have access to the best in quality instruments. There is no large capital outlay for parents or for schools. Let's be honest quality instruments are expensive to buy and in today's times a child's education should not be hindered by affordability of an instrument. Our rental program is the most flexible in the country - we offer three month / six month and 12 month terms - the difference is our six and 12 month terms are nominated by you - when you start, the time starts then. You are not fixed to have it back by the end of June as other programs are.

MusicWorks only rents Yamaha Brass and Wind and Ashton Violins. Our rental program is unique in NZ. We are the only company to rent Yamaha - the world's most respected brand for education. We offer flexible rental periods - there is the choice of three month, six month or 12 month and they start when your classes or students want them. We have a fully trained technician on staff for the servicing of our rental instruments. All of the instruments are thoroughly checked, serviced and sterilized before being sent out to you.

For every instrument hired from MusicWorks either by students at the school or the school itself the school receives a hire credit. This credit is based on the six or twelve month hire rate and allows the school to build up a credit to spend on music resources at your local MusicWorks store. Each time one of the school's students rents an instrument the school has just increased its music department budget.
