This is going to be a CRAZY day featuring two 2 Drum Clinics, a massive Paiste Cymbal Sale, and many other great drum deals and specials instore!
Each drum clinic is a $5 entry, and each clinic is limited to 50 seats, so make sure you get your ticket early! Tickets are only available through the Atwaters Musicworks and may be purchased at the drum counter.
Drum Clinic #1: 10:30am - Luke Casey
For those of you who are unfamiliar with Luke, he has over 20 years of drumming experience, and 10 years of teaching experience (both privately and in schools.) He also plays guitar and piano, with a particular interest in Jazz theory and composition. Luke has toured extensively throughout New Zealand and overseas, and enjoys passing on "real world" industry knowledge and insight gained from his experiences to help younger musicians develop into confident drummers.
Luke is best known as the drummer for Auckland band EYE TV with whom he toured and played with for 8 years and co-wrote three top 10 singles. He has also performed on over 50 recordings as a session drummer.
Drum Clinic #2: 2pm - Josh Sorenson
Josh has been playing drums for a number of years (he's no slouch on the bass either!), and is well respected amongst his peers as being a "groove-meister". Currently on tour with King Kapisi, Josh wears a number of hats and can also be found playing with the Grand Central Band. Other musicians Josh has worked/toured with have been Nathan Haines, The Alan Brown Trio, Hammond Gamble and old-school rockers Hello Sailor to name a few.
By day, Josh teaches drums and is the Programme Co-ordinator at the Music and Audio Institute of New Zealand (MAINZ) where he has been since 2001.
These clinics should not be missed, but please remember seating is limited, so get in quick!
