Product Description

With a quick, easy setup and simple intuitive operation, it's never been easier to bring your commercial space to life than with the Yamaha Commercial Installation Solutions PA2030 compact power amplifier, which combines familiar, unassuming construction with efficient, flexible performance. Whether providing background music for a cafe or restaurant, or powering a conference room the PA2030 provides you with a compact, yet powerful tool to help shape your ideal commercial sound environment.

Designed for Effortless Everyday Use

The PA2030 Power Amplifier features an interface that has been specifically designed for effortless operation. A layout that gives priority to the frequently used output volume knob while other controls are visually subdued, for example, significantly enhances control efficiency in normal day-to-day operation. Plus, there’s no need for computers or complex programming procedures for installation or operation. After a quick, easy setup procedure that requires no special knowledge or skill, the system is ready to deliver outstanding sound in a wide range of applications.

Flexible EQ Functions

The PA2030 features speaker EQ that can be selected vai a rear-panel DIP switch to provide ideal equalization for Yamaha VXC or VXS series speakers.

Supports Lo-Z and Hi-Z Speaker Systems

The PA2030 directly supports low impedance and high impedance speaker systems without the need for additional transformers or other hardware that can take up valuable installation space. When used to drive a 3 Ohm or higher low-impedance speaker system (3 Ohm/4 Ohm selectable) the amplifier delivers up to 30W per channel into two channels. When using a high-impedance 70V or 100V line connection, the output is a single channel at up to 60 Watts. That’s ideal output power for a variety of small installations. And since the PA2030 can be used with all Yamaha commercial installation speakers*, you have the choice and flexibility to design a sound system that ideally meets your specific requirements.

*Includes the VXS series, VXC series, VS series, S series, NS-AW series and NS-IC series. The S series , NS-AW series and NS-IC series are not available in some regions.

>Build a System that Meets Your Needs

For larger systems the PA2030 and MA2030 (sold separately) can be combined to drive more speakers, service a wider area, or set up volume zoning. An optional RKH1 rack mount can be used to mount either the half-rack size PA2030 or MA2030 alone, or both units side by side in a single 1U rack space.

Safe and Efficient in Any Environment

At the heart of the PA2030 is a high-efficiency Class D amplifier that delivers sufficient power for small scale applications while consuming minimal mains power during operation. For absolutely quiet operation as well as superior reliability, both models feature thermal designs that achieve efficient cooling without the need for cooling fans. Intelligent protection functions inherited from our flagship models are included in the power supply and amplifier sections to prevent damage to the amplifier as well as the connected speaker system in the case of overload.

Output Power: The PA2030 will output 30 watts per channel x 2 channels at 3O or 4O (Lo-Z). It can also produce a
60 watt mono signal at 70V or 100V (Hi-Z). The amplifier has a 4-pin, 7.62mm barrier strip speaker terminal.

Front Panel:
Volume: Rotary control adjusts the volume output to the speakers. Above the volume knob are two LEDs: the Volume
Signal LED lights when the signal output exceeds a certain level; the Volume Limit LED lights to indicate the
limiter has activated, and the volume needs to be turned down.

Power Switch: The power switch lets you turn the amplifier on and off. A power LED to the left of the switch
will glow when the unit is on. If the LED is flashing for 10 seconds or more, the internal temperature is too high.
The power should be turned off to allow the amplifier to cool.

Rear Panel:
AC Power Input: An IEC 3-prong input for connecting the supplied power cord, or an optional power cord.
Speaker Terminals: Barrier strip type speaker outputs. You can make high-impedance connections (100V or 70V)
or low-impedance connections (3O/4O). Spade lugs (±0.23" outer width) or bare wire connections work best.
(For Hi-Z connections, only terminals A+ and B- are used)

Output Switch: This 3-way switch sets the output type of the amplifier: 100V (Hi-Z), 70V (Hi-Z), or 4O/3O (Lo-Z).
DIP Switches: (see below)
Line In: One stereo RCA line input (unbalanced) and two 3-pin Euroblock connectors (balanced) for connecting
external sources. The signals input from the RCA and Euroblock jacks are mixed to the output. You can also connect
the output of a Yamaha MA2030 to the RCA input.
DIP Switches: The amp features 8 DIP switches on the rear panel. These DIP switches let you configure the
amplifier to suit your needs and application.
