Brad Stansell
Paiste Sponsored Artist
SEASONS drummer Brad Stansell epitomises an honest, Kiwi work ethic when it comes to his drumming approach. Beginning his drumming schooling while still at high school in 1997, Stansell impressed jazz drummer and school drum tutor Walter Muller with an obvious natural talent and a consistently high motivation to learn. Shortly after, Stansell had scrimped and saved enough to buy his first drumkit, a second hand Pro Rock from the local Trade and Exchange paper. Initially influenced by the likes of Nirvana, Blink 182 and Rage Against The Machine, Stansell's developing tastes saw him draw inspiration from the likes of Korn's David Silveria and Tool's Danny Carey; whose technical skillsets and drumming finesse resonated with the young drummer's developing passion for the more progressive elements of heavy metal drumming; a passion which eventually saw Gojira, Meshuggah, Slipknot and Lamb of God become staple inspirations.
